You can help us answer this question. By now you have probably heard that Bruce Stone, owner/operator of the Chelsea Theater in Chapel Hill’s Timberlyne Shopping Center, will be ending his run there in a few months. His 27 years of service there have brightened our lives and we cannot thank him enough.

But we also cannot expect him to stay forever. If the Chelsea is to continue offering us an art house experience, other people need to step forward to make it happen. A group of locals have named ourselves “Save the Chelsea” because that is what we hope to do.

The following short survey will help us measure the level of community support for this goal and the level of future use of the theater for movies and movie-related presentations. Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions and submit them by midnight, Sunday, January 7, 2018. Your answers will be confidential; we will not share them outside our group! If you have any questions, direct them to Tom Henkel or to savethechelsea@gmail.com.
